The air pump will make a noise if you connect only one pipe
I would like it better if it would come with a cover for the air pump, if I want to connect only one pipe, I took a piece of pipe, and I made a knot and I added on the air pump instead of a cover or a second pipe, however, it’s a very good product, I’m very happy that I bought it!

Amazing product, 8 year fish keeper here, super quiet i cant even hear it running. I have it running 2 sponge filters in my 55g and the air flow is perfect, even had to turn it down a little 👍🏼. The adjustable knob is a great feature. And the metal casing and firm rubber feet make it seem durable. Beats every pump i ever bought

Fish love having 2 airlines into their 55 gallon tank. Ordered the aeration disk separately, disk came with air-tubes. Thankfully they were compatible.
