Is it designed to avoid promoting algae growth?

Yes, the SR-657 aquarium light can be turned on/off at the time you set, and the 20 levels of brightness can be adjusted to effectively prevent algae growth.

Is the battery included? Do I have to use batteries? How long does the battery last?

Yes, CR1220 batteries are included. The battery is only for memory function, and the LED light and controller can work without the battery. The battery only consumes power when power supply is disconnected.

Can this light help plants grow?

Of course! The spectrum of this aquarium light increases the intensity of red and blue light, which is more conducive to the growth of rhizomes and leaves of plants, and promotes the natural circulation of the water tank.

I’m having trouble programming, what should I do?

Tell us the lighting schedule you need (start time, end time, light color, brightness), and we will assist you in setting it up step by step. We usually reply in 12 hours.

I need to have the night mode start at 6pm but the number is skipping?

The night mode can’t overlap with day mode. The night timer will auto skip the hours that is taken by day mode. Please edit day mode timer first.

🐟 High-PAR LEDs & 20 Dimming Levels: 7-row LEDs with 84 premium chips (5050+2835) deliver vibrant full spectrum lighting with 9 color options and 20 dimmable brightness levels – perfect for planted freshwater tanks, bringing out the natural reds of neon tetras, ember tetras, and cherry shrimp, the shimmer of fancy guppies, and the rich greens of java fern, anubias, and amazon sword. CRI:92, PAR:81, Lumen:893, 12600K.
🐟 3 Timers with Memory Backup: Smart timer with memory backup lets you program DAY, NIGHT, and 24/7 natural cycles – ideal for busy aquascapers and hobbyists who want automatic sunrise, daylight, sunset, and moonlight transitions without daily hassle. Built-in battery keeps time during blackouts so your lighting schedule resumes perfectly after power restoration – no recalibration needed.
🐟 Slim & Tough: Ultra-slim aluminum housing with sleek modern design – fits seamlessly above your aquascape in living rooms, bedrooms, or office desks while delivering powerful high-lumen output. Perfect for nature-style planted tanks, Iwagumi layouts, and Dutch-style aquascapes where clean aesthetics and even light distribution matter most.
🐟 Optimized for Planted Aquascapes & Community Tanks: Enhanced red and blue wavelengths boost photosynthesis for low to medium-light aquatic plants, while 15-minute gradual sunrise-sunset transitions prevent shocking or stressing sensitive fish species like tetras, rasboras, corydoras, angelfish, bettas, and other peaceful freshwater community fish – supporting healthy plant growth and natural fish behavior.
🐟 Adjustable Brackets & Wide Compatibility: Extendable mounting brackets fit 12-18 inch tanks (2.5-15 gallons) with raised design for uniform PAR coverage across every corner – ideal for nano planted tanks, shrimp breeding setups, betta/guppy/tetra nano communities, and rimless or rimmed aquariums. Tool-free installation, great for beginners and experienced aquascapers alike.
🐟 Silicone-Coated Waterproof Board: LED board is sealed with waterproof silicone coating to protect internal electronics from humidity, condensation, and regular water splashes – built for reliable 24/7 operation over planted aquariums. (Note: Minor condensation on inner lens cover is normal due to temperature changes and does not affect performance.) A thoughtful gift for any fish keeper or planted tank enthusiast.
