Operating Precautions for Temperature & Humidity Sensor

Mount the probe inside the terrarium, out of reach of children and pet to avoid accidental ingestion. The sensor probe is NOT waterproof. Keep the sensor away from water, mist and direct spray to avoid damage or inaccurate readings.Do not immerse the probe in water. Clean the sensor surface with a soft dry cloth only.Keep probe away from heat sources and dust. Do not disassemble, modify, or repair the sensor by yourself.

A: A vent with breathable film is required for moisture exchange to detect humidity. The film only repels splashes and cannot stop fine mist from seeping in long-term, so the probe cannot be submerged.It differs from temp-only probes.

Does this misting system come with a water bucket?

This product does NOT include a water bucket or water container. You need to prepare an external water container (such as a 5-gallon bucket) and connect the tubing by yourself. Please check the “What Will You Get” picture before purchasing

Why is my misting system turning on and off frequently in humidity auto mode?

Your humidity range is set too narrow. If the difference is too small, the machine stops right after reaching the target, then restarts quickly as humidity drops. Please widen the humidity range with at least 15-20% gap between start and stop value.

Is sensor placement critical for accurate humidity control?

Yes. Do NOT let the probe touch water droplets or submerge it in water. Condensation or water immersion will cause inaccurate readings, leading to incorrect frequent misting or abnormal operation.

Can this humidifier work reliably for a long time inside a damp terrarium?

Yes. With its upgraded waterproof & rust-proof PCBA, it can stably operate in high-humidity environments for a long time. You don’t need to worry about circuit damage or unstable fogging, providing consistent humidity care for your reptiles.

What is the acceptable tolerance for this temperature and humidity sensor?

Generally, a tolerance of ±1℃ for temperature and ±5%RH for humidity is considered normal for this type of digital sensor. You may also switch the display to Celsius for further testing.

1:Yes. Power-off memory resumes all settings automatically. 2: This is normal. Air in the tube needs to escape first. Gently bend the tube to fully submerge the atomizing disc.

Is there an alarm for abnormal conditions? Is it quiet?

Yes. Alerts you when temp or humidity is out of range. Yes. Ultra-quiet, won’t disturb skittish reptiles at night.

My tank is getting too wet and the substrate is waterlogged. What should I do?

We suggest adjusting the settings by shortening the spraying duration and increasing the interval between sprays. This will help maintain ideal humidity levels and prevent the substrate from becoming oversaturated.
