STILL GOING IN WEEK THREE: The dense outer bone on this whole deer antler wears down slowly under a determined jaw, so a heavy chewer stays busy with the same piece long after a bully stick is gone. Nothing to shred or swallow in ten minutes.
IF YOUR DOG IS 45 TO 65 POUNDS, THIS IS THE ONE: Large runs 6 to 8 inches, thick enough that a Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, Boxer, Husky or Australian Shepherd cannot fit it fully in the mouth. Whole seals the marrow inside for slower chewing.
SHED IN THE WOODS, NOT MADE IN A PLANT: Deer drop these on their own every winter and we pick them up by hand, cut them to length and smooth the edges. Never boiled, bleached, dyed or chemically treated. No glue, no rawhide, no grain, no additives.
DENTAL WORK DISGUISED AS FUN: Steady gnawing scrapes soft plaque off the back molars while calcium, phosphorus, zinc and collagen come along for the ride. Unlike rawhide it will not go slimy and swell, and it outlasts a bully stick many times over.
