How should I store the blocks, and how long do they keep?

Store unused blocks in a cool, dry place at room temperature, sealed in their original packaging until you need them. Keep them away from humidity and moisture so they don’t soften or start to dissolve early. Stored this way, they’ll be ready whenever your next trip comes up.

My block didn’t dissolve — or dissolved too fast. What happened?

Both come down to your tank’s conditions. If it dissolved too fast, it was likely in strong flow or warm water, or too many blocks were used — next time, place it away from the filter outflow. If it barely dissolved, your water may be cool, hard, or alkaline, or your circulation may be too gentle — a little more water movement or warmth helps. A test run shows you which applies to your specific tank.

How many fish can one 14‑day block support?
